CALGARY, AB: Today, think tank SecondStreet.org updated its CanadaWaits.ca website with the latest government data on the number of Canadians who are waiting for surgery, a diagnostic scan or appointment with a specialist. Government data obtained largely through Freedom of Information (FOI) requests shows 3.2 million Canadians are waiting for the three types of health services.

However, the data provided by governments is incomplete as most provinces do not have estimates on the number of patients waiting to see a specialist. Further, some don’t know how many patients are waiting for diagnostic scans. Using cautious estimates to fill in these gaps, SecondStreet.org estimates the true number of patients who are waiting for the three services to be 3.8 million.

So what happened between January 31, 2020 and February 4, 2020?

Dr. Tony Fauci called Dr. Kristian Anderson and ordered him to publicly say the COVID virus was NOT lab-made.

The New York Times reported on Anderson’s early email to Dr. Fauci in an article published in June 2021:

Over the past year, Dr. Andersen has been one of the most outspoken proponents of the theory that the coronavirus originated from a natural spillover from an animal to humans outside of a lab.

But in the email to Dr. Fauci in January 2020, Dr. Andersen hadn’t yet come to that conclusion.

He told Dr. Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert, that some features of the virus made him wonder whether it had been engineered, and noted that he and his colleagues were planning to investigate further by analyzing the virus’s genome.

The researchers published those results in a paper in the scientific journal Nature Medicine on March 17, 2020, concluding that a laboratory origin was very unlikely.

Dr. Andersen has reiterated this point of view in interviews and on Twitter over the past year, putting him at the center of the continuing controversy over whether the virus could have leaked from a Chinese lab.

When his early email to Dr. Fauci was released, the media storm around Dr. Andersen intensified, and he deactivated his Twitter account.

He answered written questions from The New York Times about the email and the fracas. The exchange has been lightly edited for length.

Dr. Anderson switched his story in four days after his call with Tony Fauci.

But, The New York Times conveniently omitted that after his call with Dr. Fauci on February 1, 2020, Dr. Anderson was given a $1.88 million grant and $16.5 million in funding from NIAID, Dr. Fauci’s personal piggy bank.


Dr. Andrew Huff testified to this fact back in 2022. He released this information in a legal report he signed created by the Renz Law Group.

Dr. Andrew Huff reported that Dr. Anderson’s funding at the Scripps Research Institute increased from $393,079 per month, to $800,139 per month after he backed down on the COVID lab-leak theory.

Go to the 'RNA Isolation Reagents' tab to calculate total reagent amounts.

Lysis Buffer:
Prepare fresh each time a sample is to be extracted. Lysis buffer is one volume of stock solution and one volume of 100% isopropanol. Reagents used for metagenomic sequencing should be dedicated to this particular task, as contaminants are a high risk.

Bead Mix: Magnetic Beads + Lysis / Binding enhancer:
After thorough vortexing of magnetic beads (30s, max speed), and quick mixing of lysis solution, prepare 20uL for each sample by adding one volume of each in a separate eppendorf tube. Store this solution on ice until ready to use.

Wash Buffers:
Prepare by recommended procedures, listed on the bottle. Again, use dedicated alcohol bottles for metagenomic sequencing. 300uL additions for each wash step are sufficient when extractions are performed in 1.5mL or 2.0mL eppendorf tubes.

Initial Lysis and Nucleic Acid Binding

a. Add two volumes of lysis buffer to one volume of sample
b. Vortex at moderate speed for 5 minutes to initiate lysis
c. Add 20uL Bead Mix to each tube
d. Vortex tube at low speed for 5 minutes to bind RNA to beads.
e. Perform a quick spin to remove any excess lysis solution from tube cap.
f. Move tubes to magnetic strip for 3 min to capture RNA binding beads.
g. Carefully aspirate supernatant and discard without disturbing the beads
h. Remove tubes from the magnetic strip.

Wash 1

a. Add 300uL of Wash Solution 1 / Isopropanol mixture to each tube.
b. Close tube and mix by inversion for 30s, or vortex at low speed.
c. Move tubes to magnetic strip for 3 min to capture RNA binding beads.
d. Carefully aspirate supernatant and discard without disturbing the beads
e. Remove from magnet and perform a quick spin to remove any excess wash solution from tube cap.
f. Repeat a-e one additional time, for a total of two washes with Wash 1 solution. with Wash 1 solution.

Wash 2

a. Add 300uL of Wash Solution 2 / Ethanol mixture to each tube.
b. Close tube and mix by inversion for 30s, or vortex at low speed.
c. Move tubes to magnetic strip for 3 min to capture RNA binding beads.
d. Carefully aspirate supernatant and discard without disturbing the beads
e. Remove from magnet and perform a quick spin to remove any excess wash solution from tube cap.
f. Repeat a-e one additional time, for a total of two washes with Wash 2 solution.

Elution

a. Move tubes back to magnet for 1m
b. Remove all remaining wash buffer
c. Allow magnetic beads to air dry for 5m with cap open
i. Beads should lose glossy appearance after drying
d. Remove tubes from magnet rack and add 30uL Elution Buffer to each
e. Resuspend beads by pipetting; incubate for 5m
f. Return tubes to magnet rack
g. Remove all 30uL to clean 1.5mL eppendorf tube
i. If sample is to be used immediately (<3h): place tube on wet ice and proceed with downstream processing.
ii. If sample is to be stored longer term (overnight to 3 weeks): immediately freeze on dry ice and/or place
in -80˚C

What scared me more about the entire exercise was how the people reacted, they was so close to vacine ID cards, permanent track and trace but worst of all was the mob mentality against un-vacinated people. I remember a women in India who did not want to be vaccinated she was thrown to the ground by a group of people she was screaming and in tears as they held her down and stuck that needle in her arm, the looks on those peoples faces who just left that women on the floor crying while they went after their next victim. People on the whole have shown that they are so easily programmed by the media news turned them into pavlov zombie dogs so quickly intelligence gave way to obey and join the pack rather than becoming victimised named and shamed as a anti vaxxer, society made me more sick than the virus ever did.

I wholeheartedly agree one million %!!! Such an eye opener for me. A few of my neighbors & I have become quite close over the years. When suggested we all go down "for the vaxx together, then have lunch"; I declined saying I'd meet for lunch. They asked if I'd gotten the vax already and I said I wasnt taking it, omg I never felt so set upon in my life. This was the last time 3 of them spoke to me! True colors showing like I've never seen before. I even heard a rumor that some were looking into any way they could make us MOVE OUT. I wasn't as angry as I was hurt; and VERY hurt at that. Things aren't uncomfortable for me here anymore as they were in the begining but many of my neighbors still can't (or won't) look me in the face & certainly not in the EYE. When I read your comment here, I know I don't get out much but I read a lot, & yours is the first comment or statement of this nature that I have encountered; & I appreciate your feeling & indeed share it. It could become an overwhelming thought & by itself, lead a person into depression. However in my case (& I have a strong feeling in your case as well as you felt the stunning blow as I did of "our brother & sister fellow Americans", for the gain of their weekly paycheck or to look good or gain status or a raise or promotion or WHAT EVER, thought NOTHING of MURDERING mass amounts of people; elderly, middle aged, young adults, teens, children now infants. They've gone from killing them with vaxes, to a hospital in Boston 1st one of its kind they boast for gender reassignment FOR INFANTS!!! I honestly can't bear the thought of the thought of this happening. I tried to get some people together~ enough to have a protest but no one at all agreed to come. I will get some people and do this for sure. An area hospital here where I live, had a group of about 10 to 12 nurses that called each other "serial killers" & really made jokes all through their shift with the excuse that " if they didn't laugh they'd cry". Up until 2020 i had always believed that a WW2 Nazi thing could never happen in a modern democracy. Back in the 1990s, as a professional English teacher specializing in biological and medical English, I had classes twice a week with the research department of a world famous medical laboratory in France. One day our discussion topic was an article about AIDS.
In that article, certain famous virologists had expressed their opinion that HIV is not the actual pathogen involved with the disease "AIDS" but is, instead, an opportunistic virus that will always be present when the immune system is depressed but has no role in the disease.
Concerning the real cause of AIDS, the article said: "This disease agent is not a bacterium and not a virus; it is a mutated form of the Brucella bacterium, combined with a visna virus," Victims develop AIDS when infected with this bacteria, and as their immune system becomes depressed, the opportunistic HIV infection occurs and generates symptoms of its own.
Thus, If that were the case, the search for a vaccine against HIV would be forever in vain. It wouldn't matter how many billions of dollars were poured into research pockets year after year, no cure can ever be found, because HIV isn't even really the cause. It's almost always there to be seen, (but not always) but fighting the virus will never do anything to stop the disease.
Knowing from personal research that during WW2 the Japanese had experimented a lot with the Brucella bacterium for use as a biological weapon, and that the US had inherited all of the data concerning those studies, and had continued such research after the war, I put the question to the class (all of whom were top level disease researchers) "Do you think it's possible that AIDS is a man-made disease and is being used to pursue geopolitical goals including population control in certain regions of the earth? And further, is it possible that HIV is being falsely identified as the disease agent when, in fact, it is not, so that no "cure" of the disease will ever be found, when in fact the real bacterial disease can be cured by specific antibiotic treatment.
This was a very sensitive question to the researchers. They normally wouldn't have publicly discussed this sort of question even among themselves, but I had a good rapport with that class and they knew I was sincere and that I would never quote them directly. I never even mentioned this for a couple of decades. But I figure that the moral statute of limitations has passed by now.
Anyway, with all the due protocol for such a sensitive question, the top guy, the head of the research department, answered my question.
He said:

Treatment of Psychological Diseases and Disorders
The distinction between "disease" and "disorder" may help guide treatment.

According to the most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5), there are nearly 400 different psychological disorders. Some of these disorders fit the definition of “disease,” a problem that impairs functioning and that mostly stems from biological causes. Common examples include bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Other “disorders” impair functioning but are determined by a more diverse array of causes, some of which are psychological and social/cultural in nature. In this sense, these conditions are not true “diseases.” Examples include anxiety disorders, depression, addictive disorders, and eating disorders.

On the other hand, decades of carefully controlled clinical studies have shown that medication often is not the best treatment for many disorders. Often times, any symptom relief that medication provides ends when individuals stop taking them.

Increasingly, I also see researchers skeptical of the underlying pharmaceutical claim that “chemical imbalances” of serotonin explain why some people struggle with emotional disorders. Apparently, some of the best evidence that there is a chemical imbalance of serotonin involved in disorders such as depression is that antidepressant medications sometimes help. However, this is akin to saying that if Tylenol sometimes helps you overcome a headache, then headaches must be caused by a “Tylenol imbalance.” This doesn’t necessarily take away from the fact that antidepressant medications can be helpful in some circumstances, but it does suggest, at least, that the mechanisms by which antidepressants sometimes work are in question by many in the scientific community.

According to the most recent data released by the National Center for Health Statistics, approximately 11 percent of all Americans aged 12 and older are taking an antidepressant medication for some reason. Approximately 25 percent of American women aged 40 to 59 are taking an antidepressant. More than 60 percent of individuals taking an antidepressant have done so for over 2 years, and approximately 14 percent have been taking them for over 10 years.

Many of these individuals taking antidepressant medication suffer from significant side effects. Others believe that they are being helped by the medicine and thus do not work to resolve the underlying issues that are at the “root” of the problem. In fact, much of the therapeutic effect of medicine likely stems from psychological factors such as the cathartic release of telling their doctor about their problems, the relationship between them and their doctor, or the faith or hope they experience from the treatment. Of course, there are other ways to treat psychological disorders that may provide these factors without needing to take a pharmacological substance.

The best treatment option for many people who struggle with disorders is psychotherapy. Several forms of psychotherapy — cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy — have been found to successfully treat many disorders, including disorders with severe symptoms. Furthermore, compared with the effects of medication, psychotherapy often seems to provide better treatment in the long-term. Perhaps one of the reasons why psychotherapy is so helpful in many cases is that it gets at the “root” causes of people’s problems.

Psychiatry is in crisis because it is committed to the "mental disease" model.


Is there such a thing as a mental disorder that is not akin to a biological disease? Biological psychiatry says absolutely not. For them, all mental disorders are biological disorders involving some form of breakdown in brain circuitry. The power of this view was on stark display over the past week. As has been much discussed, a week ago the director of the NIMH, Thomas Insel, sharply criticized the DSM system and stated that the NIMH will instead be organizing its research around a new nosology that attempts to link several different domains. Will this new nosology finally attempt to separate those psychological problems that are reducible to biological dysfunction from those that are not, as I have argued previously? No.

A central, guiding assumption of the new NIMH system is that: “Mental disorders are biological disorders involving brain circuits that implicate specific domains of cognition, emotion, or behavior.”

This is an even greater commitment to biological dysfunction than the DSM makes! Why is this foundational assumption made? There are two basic reasons. The first reason is that because everything that is psychological (or mental) is also biological, it follows that mental disorders must also be biological disorders. More on this assumption below.

The second reason is political and institutional. The DSM—and to a large extent the NIMH—is owned and controlled by psychiatry, and psychiatry is a branch of medicine. Thus there is a core identity issue here. If psychiatry is a true medical discipline, then it must treat real diseases like the rest of medicine. It can’t just be about generic “problems in living,” even if very severe. Thus, the above assumption about biological dysfunction is central to their professional identity.

Now, back to the first assumption. As a psychologist who believes our discipline ought to be committed to a naturalistic worldview, I agree that all psychological/mental phenomena involve biological phenomena. There is no psychology without biology. But that does not mean the mental is the same as the biological. Nor does it mean that you can reduce the mental to the biological. And, ultimately, it means you CAN have psychological disorder without biological/brain malfunction.
